Meridian is Pilot's AI operating system for accounting firms, launched to other firms in 2026 after running Pilot's own books since 2017: its AI Accountant categorizes, reconciles, handles exceptions, posts accruals and prepares statements in the client's QuickBooks Online or Xero file, logs every decision and routes unusual or policy-sensitive items to a reviewer, so staff receive finished books to review rather than work to do. The vendor says it runs for firms from around 15 clients, with NetSuite, Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Desktop in development. Pricing is set in a 30-minute working session; SOC 2 is stated. Worth knowing: the parent company also sells bookkeeping directly to businesses.
