AI for Accounting Practices

About the directory

Every AI tool sold to accounting, bookkeeping and tax practices, checked by hand, with prices where vendors post them.

Why it exists

Firms keep getting the same pitch: AI will do the bookkeeping, read the W-2s into the return, answer the phone in March, write the engagement letter and close every client's month. Some of it is real and worth the money. Some of it is a landing page. Telling them apart meant reading vendor blogs that recommend themselves, conference-booth demos, and listicles written by people who have never met an April deadline.

AI for Accounting Practices is the list that was missing: every AI tool sold to accounting, bookkeeping and tax practices, with what it does, what the AI part actually does, who it serves, and what it costs. It is part of the AI Directory Network, alongside AI for Service Contractors and AI for Real Estate Professionals, built the same way.

How a tool gets listed

  • Every vendor's site and pricing page is read by a person before the tool is listed. A dead site, a "coming soon" product, or AI that exists only as a word on the homepage doesn't go in.
  • Each listing records what the vendor says the tool does, in plain words, and names the specific AI feature. No marketing copy.
  • If the vendor posts a price, the listing shows it. If they don't, it says "quote-based" rather than guessing.
  • Every listing shows the date it was last checked. Prices in this market change often; listings are re-checked on a rolling basis, and anything a reader or vendor flags gets fixed, usually the same day.

How the site makes money

Listings are free. Nobody pays to be listed or to be written up a certain way. Each category has one featured spot at the top of the page; vendors pay a flat monthly fee for it, and it is marked as featured. A featured tool's listing is written to the same standard as everyone else's. Some vendor links may be affiliate links; each one is marked where it appears, and none of them change a listing. See the affiliate disclosure.

What this is not

It's not a review site. These tools haven't all been run inside a working firm, and the listings don't pretend otherwise. What the directory can tell you is that the company exists, what it claims, what it costs, and who it serves. The right next step is always a demo with your own client files in front of you.

Who's behind it

We're a small independent publisher of hand-checked AI tool directories for specific trades and professions; this is the third. Nobody here sells software, and no vendor has a hand in what gets listed. Corrections and questions go to , and a person answers. More on the contact page.
