Who it's for

Anchor is listed as a fit for solo practitioners and small firms, and the vendor names solo practitioners, small CPA firms, bookkeeping practices and tax offices on its own site. The job it gets hired for: pricing the engagement, getting the letter signed and the first invoice paid before the work starts.

What it costs

Anchor starts at $5 per payment received (no subscription), per payment received. There is a free plan.

Good to know

Anchor is billing for accounting firms with no subscription at all: it takes $5 from each payment received, ACH is free to the client and cards cost them 2.9% plus 30 cents, and proposals, agreements, automated invoices, users and clients are unlimited. A signed proposal becomes the engagement letter, the recurring invoice schedule and the saved payment method in one step, with dunning by text and email and fees posted to QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage or NetSuite. The Anchor MCP lets Claude or ChatGPT query clients and payments and draft proposals, and Ping watches billing for items that need you. SOC 2 and PCI DSS badges are posted; the vendor cites 3,000-plus US firms.
